We seem as humans to be well versed at making top heavy systems that, well, topple easily. Small, simple and lean systems/solutions are usually much more successful. Often the huge amount of resources and money allocated to certain systems is not realistic or sustainable even in the short term, robbing resources from other areas that then go into crisis. Having a 'big ball of money' to throw at something often leads to the wrong solutions.
